During the past days I enjoyed the verve of
spring with all the colorful flowers blooming
and lovely faces in town with bright clothing.
Also not forgetting heritage day which reminds
us where we come from including braai day which
adds a spice to the historic day.
Since it is nearly the end of the year I believe
it will be a great honour to highlight the bumpy
road we took as Inspiration Magazine readers
and lovers.
Our golden-girl Caster Semenya really made us
prouddespite all the negative publicity which
came with her convincing victory.
Even though the road has not been easy for her;
she still has strength to keep going. We have
to realise the importance of having human rights
which are meant to protect our way of life and
our privacy. With the media involved in your
private affairs, your life can be a subject
to public scrutiny, especially if you are a
public figure.
Grade 12 learners will be sitting down studying
for their final examinations. I know it is not
easy for learners because the period of trial
and error, for them, is long gone. Inspiration
wishes them the best of luck.
One of my wishes for 2010 is to see more tourists
in our province. However, this wish got me thinking
that if we got a high volume of tourist and
big companies 'claiming' they empower young
entrepreneurs; how are we going to create empowerment?
In this edition we covered stories drawn from
personal experiences of individuals within communities.
We go one in one with the new Capricorn Fm breakfast
presenter Mpho Maumela.
We also catch up with a household name in fashion
industry in the province Sipho Tleane; who's
clothing line Apara has added the vavavoom in
the fashion corridors.
